House notes
This page describes cookies on toolcabinbase.click. It sits beside the privacy notice. A banner on first visit lets you accept or reject analytics cookies. Either choice still lets you read the site and send an enquiry.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. Some cookies are needed for the page to remember a choice. Others help us see which pages are opened. Local storage in the browser is used here for the same kind of choice: your accept or reject decision.
Types we use
Essential. These remember that you have seen the banner and which button you pressed. They do not profile you for advertising.
Analytics. These are used only if you press Accept. They help us see, in aggregate, which pages about readouts and briefings are opened. They are not required to request a review.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| toolcabinbase_cookie_consent | Stores Accept or Reject for the banner | Until you clear storage, or twelve months in ordinary use | Toolcabinbase (local storage on your device) |
| tc_session | Keeps a short technical session for the host | Session | Site host |
| tc_analytics | Page-open counts if you accepted analytics | Up to six months | Toolcabinbase, via the host |
The consent record is kept in local storage under the key toolcabinbase_cookie_consent, not only as a classic cookie, so that your choice survives a reload.
How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings, which will show the banner again. Browser controls differ; look for cookies, tracking, or site data for toolcabinbase.click.
Third-party cookies
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. That request may allow Google to see your IP address and the font files requested. We do not load advertising networks. If a future change adds another third party, this table will be updated.
If you disable analytics
Rejecting analytics cookies does not block the journal, the readout pages, or the contact form. We will simply not use analytics cookies to count those visits. Essential storage for the banner choice may still be written if the browser allows it. If storage is blocked entirely, the banner may appear again on the next visit, and a short message will say the choice could not be saved.
